Happy Friday!
Last night i went to see "The Ride", Phil Koeghan's film about riding across america to raise funds for MS. It was probably one of the best cycling documentaries i've ever seen. It was terribly funny, and every cyclist in the room nodded and cringed at the right times. Or should i say...you could tell the cyclists in the room. When he would roll over train tracks and wreck, it was like yelling TEQUILA in a room of post university students. Those who've barfed on the stuff, squirm like ants in their pants. Same here.
Bonus is, i got to sit next to a cute boy. I didn't get his name, but it was nice for a change. Usually, i get stuck next to the family of 5 with loud kids, or the obese man who attempts to fill up my seat too.
It's so frakking pretty outside today. I can't wait to get on my bike and ride. Work first, then i go.
I'm about to register for some of my first rides, other than the HHH. I'm really anxious about it. It's one thing to ride around the lake by myself, or go to my hometown, and ride where i have support. But to just show up alone, not knowing what to expect, and not know anyone...*sigh*, well, id better grow a pair.
Finally, today, i saw definition in my legs. Is that muscles? Holy sinew! I haven't seen that in a while.
Ok so here's the thing..refined sugar carbs make you fat. They also make you (ME esp) retain water. less than a week of cutting out carbs, and i'm cutting water like crazy. DAmn you carbs for tasting so good, and leaving me broken, sad and despressed. you're like dating an obnoxiously cute man. It's awesome while you endulge, but you'll pay for the empty calories later!!
Just say no to the alpha males, and cookes. (suck)
Clear Skies!
