Cigna strikes again.
Another day awaiting insurance authorization.
My fingers are crossed.
Here is my mystery...
Several times i've encountered this, and so have coworkers, friends, family, etc.
you go to a doctor that's innetwork.
they order a test or some procedure, etc
You make sure that the facility is 'in network'.
You go have your test, or do whatever the doctor ordered.
Then weeks later, you get a bill.
You call the insurance company.
They're response is "well, it's all in how your doctor's office coded it, it's out of our control".
Where are these magical codes?
Apparently, there are right codes and codes that will cost you the working budget of a small 3rd world country.
If you call your doctor, they claim that's how they've always coded something and it's the insurance company's fault.
Anyone EVER face this and possibly have a solution?
Coz to me, it's like a secret language we aren't allowed to understand.
