The riding season might be over, but my riding isn't.
For the past few months, i've been battleing a hip/joint problem. That big knot i felt on the bottom of my right sit bone? That was my hips out of joint something fierce! I've been seeing Dr. Lee ever since. We are slowly getting me back into alignment. Alot of stretching, alot of rolling around on that roller thing that hurts like hell. A lot of Dr. Lee pulling me legs all sorts of obnoxious directions and then jumping on me to pop my hips back. the deep tissue stuff is enough to bring tears to my eyes. But, believe it, it works.
Tonight was the second night i've been able to ride without pain in my hip or seat area. When you put in so many miles on the bike, all that similar movement can create issues. Bugger. So, i've been incorporating the leg and back P90x, plus the stretch routines back into mine, esp for the winter.
For now, i rode tonight. It's November, and it was 75, calm and beautiful. The sky turned the lake a bright pink, and my favorite song from the Tron Legacy soundtrack (for you super geeks, it's the Son of Flynn song) just as i came around the lake. It takes my breath away. When the sun went down, it became a bit nerve wrecking. The cars arent used to going itno the dark at this hour, and neither are the peds. Even my eyes had a hard time adjusting. I swear i was just waiting to get hit or hit something. As i pulled into my neighborhood, the breeze just flowed over me. Pure zen, my friends. It's like flying.
I'll leave you with that thought. Tomorrow, rain. Hello winter.
